Leigh Madeira

Leigh is a skilled finance professional committed to developing financially sustainable solutions to the world’s most pressing environmental challenges. She has over 15 years of experience as both an investor and an entrepreneur in the energy, climate, and nature-based solutions sectors, including the development and launch of the innovative and highly successful Forest Resilience Bond. Leigh’s experience with investments both large and small – from multi-billion dollar deals in the energy sector to $300 microloans while serving as a Kiva Fellow in Ecuador – makes her uniquely positioned to understand the financial needs of a diverse set of stakeholders.

Leigh has a B.A. in finance from the University of Notre Dame, an MBA from UC Berkeley, and is a CFA charter holder.
